A 33-year-old man was found dead at the foot of Block 684A Woodlands Drive 73 on 21 Jun 2025, after allegedly slashing his 31-year-old partner with a knife during a heated argument.

The Singapore Police Force received a call for assistance at approximately 7:40pm that evening. The incident occurred inside a residential unit where the two men were involved in a dispute.
According to preliminary police investigations, the 33-year-old man injured the 31-year-old man with a knife before fleeing the scene.

The alleged assailant was subsequently found lying motionless at the foot of the block and pronounced dead at the scene by a Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedic.
Police do not suspect foul play based on preliminary investigations.
Woodlands Block Cordoned Off as Police Investigate Fatal Incident
At least eight police vehicles were deployed to the scene, with officers cordoning off a large area around the block. A blue tent was set up at the foot of the building near the letterboxes.
A knife was discovered on a grass verge near the block, not far from where the body was found. The weapon had apparently been thrown out of a window during the incident.
Police remained at the scene for more than four hours, leaving only around midnight. An officer was seen carrying a large bag of evidence, and the body was removed by a police hearse.
A female resident heard a loud “bang” at about 7:30pm and was told by neighbours that a man appeared to have fallen from the building. Neighbours had also heard a loud quarrel in a unit upstairs before the man fell.
A fifth-floor resident said their family was having dinner when they heard a commotion upstairs, followed by the sound of a man falling from the building.
Man Slashed in Relationship Dispute Hospitalised
The 31-year-old victim was seen covered in blood and bleeding profusely from slash wounds. However, he appeared conscious and his life was not believed to be in danger.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force conveyed the injured man to Woodlands Health Campus in a conscious state.
According to Shin Min Daily News, neighbours reported that a Chinese man lived with his mother in the unit. A Malay man, who was not a resident, was a frequent visitor to the flat.
The deceased and the man who was slashed were believed to be in a relationship. The mother of the 31-year-old was at home during the incident and is believed to have called for an ambulance after witnessing her son being attacked.
The pair had reportedly engaged in a fierce argument that escalated to violence. After the alleged slashing, the 33-year-old man threw the knife out of the window, ran out of the door, and fell to his death from the block.
