Man Finds What Looks Like White Fungi On KFC Chicken At Jurong Point; May Be Undercooked

Lunchtime is looming but I’ve been tasked to do a vomit-inducing, appetite suppressing article.

KFC has proven itself not-so-finger-lickin’-good, according to a Facebook post on 3 October 2019.

A netizen named Augustine Yeo posted on Facebook claiming that he had ordered takeaway from KFC’s Jurong Point outlet.

He had plenty to complain about, including the cashier’s attitude. But one thing that undeniably stood out was the state of the chicken, which he found more than displeasing when he opened up the box of his 3-piece chicken meal.

It’s sort of like opening a present from your significant other, I’d presume. You kinda know what you’re going to get (based on the subtle hints you’ve dropped for the past months). But you never really know if they’re gonna get it right.

It could come in the wrong size, or it could simply be in the wrong colour.

White Fungus-Like Thing On KFC Chicken

For this dude, it came with a white fungus-like residue.

Big yikes.

There is no confirmation as to what exactly this white thing is on the chicken, but Augustine Yeo has described it as “whitish shit” and that it was like “funguses.”

He also said, “see le also want to vomit sia.”

Actually, I think I’m going to skip lunch today, thanks.

Netizens Suggest It Is Undercooked

While Augustine Yeo speculates that it is “funguses”, netizens offered their opinions.

One netizen claimed to have worked at KFC in the past, and thus, knows the cooking process. He then claims that the chicken isn’t cooked properly.

Another netizen also had similar sentiments, claiming that the chicken has not been cooked well.

One netizen notes that KFC standards have dropped based on their prior experience of ordering delivery with KFC.

He or she claims that the food arrived “soggy yet cold” and has since stopped ordered takeaways from KFC.

Instead, they prefer to dine in and says that Popeyes is the “next best thing.”

KFC Has Responded

KFC has replied the post asking Augustine Yeo for his contact details and apologising for the “unpleasant experience.”

Let’s hope that this matter doesn’t repeat itself.

Would I still order KFC? Hell yes. Especially if they bring Gold Spice back, @KFC.
