Suspect Was Remanded A Scene Visit

According to CNA, the prosecution had requested for the accused to be remanded a scene visit. Goh is to assist in the ongoing investigations for the two unnatural deaths.

The prosecutor also added that Goh has not been placed in the relevant division. The 22-year-old was previously remanded at Changi Prison’s Complex Medical Centre.

It was heard that the Institution of Mental Health had sent a report to police. They will be consulting the Attorney-General’s Chambers.

Goh will be remanded for a week.

The Incident In a Nutshell

On 27 October, 22-year-old, Gabriel Lien Goh was arrested for the alleged murder of his 56-year-old mother and 90-year-old grandmother.

The two women were found unconscious and later on pronounced dead in two separate units at Block 7A Commonwealth Avenue.

The accused was charged for the murder of his mother the following day. Gabriel was again charged on 18 November for the alleged murder of his grandmother.

He has since apologised to his relatives saying that it was all an accident. “I had no control over my actions, and never intended any of these terrible things that have happened,” said the accused.

The alleged remains unrepresented and will return to court on 2 December.

If found guilty of the crime, Goh will be subject to the death penalty.

The occurrences of such unexpected crimes are truly unfortunate. We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of the affected.
