- Crazy ex-boyfriends who stab you in the butt
Wait a minute…
That’s not right. Let’s try this again.
A man arrived unannounced at his ex-girlfriend’s birthday party and stabbed her in the buttocks. Yes, that’s exactly what happened.
Man’s Parents Didn’t Approve Of Their Relationship
Basnayake Keith Spencer, 31 had dated 29-year-old Danielle Joan Pereira from 2015 to 2016, for a little over a year. Unfortunately, the man’s parents disapproved of their relationship, so they broke up. However, they remained in contact.
Big mistake.
Pereira booked an apartment at Icon Village for her birthday party in 2018. Parties are usually tons of fun. But this one? Not so much.
Instead of balloons, candles or cakes, Pereira received a disgruntled ex-boyfriend at her door. She let him in “out of goodwill.”
Bigger mistake.
He started smoking methamphetamine, before taking a 34-cm long kitchen knife from the kitchen and stabbed her in the buttock. She collapsed to the floor from the stab wound.
Yes, totally normal birthday party activities.
Victim Told Everyone To Leave
Pereira then screamed for everyone to leave, while the man put the knife back in the kitchen.
He then called the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and told them, “I stabbed my friend.”
Hold on just a second. Did he just…And they say girls are the crazy ones in relationships.
That’s not all though, he told the SCDF that she was bleeding from her “lower back and kidney.”
Victim Was Taken To The Hospital
Pereira was brought to the hospital and received 7 stitches, 4cm long and 8cm deep. She also received 25 days of medical leave.
The man was sentenced to a year in jail on Tuesday, 3 September.
In his defence, Spencer’s lawyer pointed out that he had stayed throughout and had even called an ambulance for the victim.
Okay, I’ll just anyhowly poke someone with a knife and then call an ambulance after to make it all better.
For voluntarily causing hurt with a knife, Spencer could’ve been jailed for up to 7 years, fined, caned, or any combination of these penalties.
Moral of the story? Just cut off contact with your ex-es, and don’t let them into your birthday party.
