Man Jaywalked, Got Angry & Hit Taxi Only to Fall Down Soon After

Kumar is my secondary school friend who can run very fast, but is very “solo” when he’s playing soccer.

And as for karma, it’s this fellow who expects the world to stop for him because the earth spins for him, only for him to fall down soon after when heavens see his wrongdoing.

Here’s what happened.

Man’s Jogging and Needs to Cross a Road

Any driver would know that some people tend to jaywalk on the entrance of car parks, which is much more dangerous as the driver could be looking out for traffic from the other direction.

Any Xiao Ming, Ali, Kumar and David would know that when he crosses the road, especially on a junction, he should look around first for any cars that might turn in, because the road doesn’t below to his grandfather.

But Mr Karma-ed here, for some reason, thinks otherwise.

So there he is, walking coolly…

…and then, the taxi sees that the car in front is moving. From his POV, the only barrier in front of him is air, so he inched forward, but Mr Karma-ed is on his way.

Angry that the taxi has inched forward instead of letting him pass, he did what any self-entitled person would do: he hit the car, though I’m not certain if he shouted “Is it because I’m Chinese?!”

Poor taxi uncle, he must be—

—laughing non-stop in his car.

Here’s the full video for you to see Mr Karma-ed in action.

And here’s the description that aptly explains what happened:

Jogger or Jerk

Sometimes in life, Instant karma settles the bad situation right in front of your eyes, and life moves on again.

A PSA for All Human Beings

Well, this PSA is more for people who don’t drive.

When you’re crossing a road that’s just next to a turn, please look around you, which includes your back. A car might be turning into your direction from the back and you might not see it. Here, I’ve drawn a nicely done diagram to illustrate this point:

So in this instance, looking left and right isn’t enough: you’ll have to turn your whole body to see the car behind you. If it’s signaling, chances are it’s going to turn in.

Don’t just say “I didn’t see,” because when it comes to accidents, the only wrong is when you’re injured.
