A Man Spent S$53,000 and Over 130 Hours Trying to Look Like a Marvel Super-Villain

We all have childhood heroes when we’re young and people we aspire to be like when we grow up.

Some of us want to be firefighters or policemen while others want to be superman. And there are, of course, a couple of us who managed to make it to our dreams.

But how far are you willing to go to be like your idol? One man in China took up surgery to look like Jack Ma while another went crazy trying (and failing) to look like Justin Bieber.

We thought we’ve heard it all, but wait till you hear about this man who wanted to become a marvel super villain.

Red Skull from Venezuela

Henry Rodrigez loved the Marvel super-villain, Red Skull and wants to make his dream of looking like Red Skill come true.

And we’re not talking about makeup and costumes. We’re talking about permanent surgery, implants and tattoo.

He had implants put into his head, tattooed his eyeballs, split his tongue, part of his nose cut off and his ears reshaped. All in a bid to look like his childhood hero.

He wanted to turn himself into this amazing comic book character

He started this project about 7 years ago and he felt that there are similarities between his and Red Skull’s character. But he did emphasise that the only thing he doesn’t have is the Nazi mentality of the character.

He had his first tattoo at age 12 and holds a Guinness Record for one of the 10 people with the most body modification.

His family, including his 3-year-old son, has accepted his new look, which he is happy for.
