Your bad deeds always catch up to you.
And we are not talking about karma here.
We are talking about using technology to find the culprits and wrongdoers in our lives to bring them to justice.

That is precisely what one victim whose phone was “stolen” did to get back her phone.
Here is what happened.
Woman’s Phone Was Stolen by Man Who Tried to Sell It at Sim Lim Square
Earlier this week, a TikTok user (@vonsterbelle) took to the popular social media platform to document her experience when she dropped her phone on the pavement, and a man stole it.
Her video has since gone viral with more than 304K views.
@vonsterbelle [CASE CRACKED] When wedding photographers turned into PI. I dropped my iPhone 14 Pro Max and my IC, within 1 minute, this guy from S400 Mercedes came out of his car to steal it. Tracked him down around Singapore for 10 hours and finally found him!!! He didn’t even apologise to me. The phone is a gift from my dad for my birthday. #Singapore #crime #Singaporecrime #police #FBI ♬ original sound – Yvonne Isabelle Ling
Her caption mentioned that she had dropped her iPhone 14 Pro Max and identification card, which were picked up by a man driving an S400 Mercedes.
The victim’s IC was attached to the back of her phone.
The video begins with the woman confronting a man dressed in all black, asking him if he had taken someone’s phone. He hurriedly walks away after realising the woman was filming.

Then, the video shows the police report that the woman had made and began to tell the story about this wild chase.
Based on what looks like CCTV footage from a house, a white Mercedes is shown on the screen, with the on-screen captions saying that the man who drove the car had taken her phone.
Woman Used App to Track Down the Culprit
Not content with losing her phone just like that, the woman used her “Find My iPhone” app to locate the whereabouts of her phone.
As it turns out, the phone appeared to have travelled quite a bit around Singapore.
Tanglin and even Somerset were some of the locations logged by the app. The woman alleged in the video that the man lived in Somerset.

Apart from going home, the man also visited Sim Lim Square, where the on-screen captions suggest that the man was there to try and sell the loot he had picked up.
The phone’s owner did not give up, continuing to follow the man until they spotted his car on Grange Road, where it stopped for the night.
The video concluded with the woman getting back her phone as the “police managed to find [the driver of the car]”.
Unfortunately, it was severely damaged and cracked.
If you’re wondering why a Mercedes car owner needs to steal a phone, the on-screen captions clarified that the man who drove the Mercedes was not the car’s owner.

The video also did not mention if the police arrested the man. Under the Penal Code, offenders found guilty of theft may be liable for a fine and/or imprisonment for up to 3 years.
