Buying products online can be dangerous, especially for electrical products that may not meet safety requirements.
Case in point: a massage gun bought from Lazada that caught fire after charging.
Massage Gun Caught Fire, Burnt Surrounding Items
The buyer posted about her experience on the Facebook group Complaint Singapore.
Basically, she bought a red massage gun from the online shopping platform Lazada, and was probably hoping to get a good massage session out of it.
However, when she charged the product, it suddenly caught fire and burnt the surrounding area. In the pictures below, you can see black scorch marks on her table, shelf and wood floor.
Thankfully, she put the fire out quickly, or the fire could have spread to other areas of the house.

Additionally, when she brought the matter up to Lazada, they redirected her to ask for a refund from the seller. She noted that the seller did process the refund, but didn’t compensate for any damages she incurred.
