From the looks of it, Canberra Plaza may soon be the new ‘It’ in town.
Not in the horrifying, clown-ish sense, but because it has the ‘It factor’.
It’s hardly surprising either. The new mall, which launched its soft opening on 18 December, does boast 70 retailers, including the likes of A&W, Daiso & Starbucks.
Plus, it houses what may well be one of the largest and most IG-worthy McDonald’s outlets to have spawned in Singapore to date…
One that takes up four units – which include a plethora of seats for those impending 8-pax gatherings.
New McDonald’s Outlet in Canberra Plaza is Both Gigantic & IG-Worthy
According to McDonald’s Singapore’sFacebook page, its newest outlet at Canberra Plaza appears to be one of utmost delight.
And we’re not just talking about its signature series of beef burgers – a notion that’s present in every outlet anyway.
No, rather, we’re talking about its sheer size.
A ginormous entity that takes up four whopping units.
Now I know what you’re thinking.
Is this one of those instances where the exterior looks big, but it feels incredibly tiny on the inside?
Well, no.
According to the accompanying pictures, the interior is as vast and spacious as the outside would suggest.
It’s also designed in a manner that’s both brightly-coloured and intriguing, and would surely appeal to all the fun-loving personnel out there.
Seats are also plentiful – a notion which should certainly cater to all the imminent 8-pax gatherings in the near future.
And to cap things off, there’s ample space around the area, so no fear of unnecessary close contact considering current circumstances.
It should be noted that there’s also an in-store playground, or PlayPlace, too. This would definitely appeal to all the young ones out there, or even those who are young at heart.
Canberra Plaza
Having launched its soft opening on Friday, 18 December, the new mall saw snaking queues on its opening day – despite a deterring onslaught of rain.
Transport Minister Ong Ye Kung, the MP for Sembawang GRC, also turned up to officiate the opening ceremony.
Apparently, he also visited McDonald’s, where he had the fortune of taking a photo with the new outlet’s very first customer.
Alright we’re just jesting; please don’t hold it against us Mr Ong.
Anyways, if you wish to visit the outlet soon, you can note down the following details:
Address: #01-01/02/03/28 Canberra Plaza, 133 Canberra View, Singapore 750133
Opening hours: 7am – 12am daily
Nearest MRT: Canberra Station
Please note, however, that Phase 3 will only commence on 28 December.
So please save your 8-pax gatherings for the appropriate date; the new outlet may be fancy and all…
But we still don’t think it’s worth violating the law.
