Get ready for the invasion, people.
Pack up your stuff, prepare your bunkers, and get ready to stock up.
Because Hershey’s is taking over McDonald’s.
So sell your McDonald’s stocks, and invest them in Hershey’s instead.
…
Just kidding.
It’s not that kind of takeover, but a chocolate takeover.
And when I say a takeover, I mean a takeover.
From 23 Sep 2019, you won’t find the Vanilla Soft Serve at McDonald’s… (except at their Dessert Kiosks).
Replacing them, here are their new overlords:
Hershey’s Cones From S$1.40
Hershey’s Cone – S$1.40
If you’re the kind who prefers their Hershey’s at a normal chocolatey level.
Twist Cone – S$1.40
So twisted that even the picture is a little twisted. This is the only place where Hershey’s gave McDonald’s permission to add in a little of their vanilla.
ChocoCone – S$1.60
Or if you’d like it to be even more chocolatey… You cover it in even more chocolate with the ChocoCone.
Sundae And McFlurry
Of course, there are certain chocolate addicts out there that simple cones like that wouldn’t suffice.
You’d need a heavier injection of chocolate.
Chocolatey Sundae – S$2.40
Hmmm yeah, inject me with some of that sticky gooey chocolatey hot fudge.
Or make it even better.
Hershey’s McFlurry – S$3.20
Top up some of that chocolatey goodness with crunchy bits of Oreo cookie.
And as you know, with the taking over of anything, there are bound to be secret task forces involved.
Since you’ve been with me up till now, here’s a top-secret mission for ya.
2,700 Cups Of Free McFlurry From 20 to 22 September
At 12pm and 6pm on each day from 20 to 22 September, bus stop advertisements will open up for everyone to grab a Hershey’s Mcflurry for free.
If you’re fast enough to be in the first 2,700, of course!
(What McDonald’s/Hershey’s mean by “bus stop advertisements will open up” remains to be seen. But I’m secretly hoping “open up” to be in the more literal sense, like the advertisement box opening Transformers-style to someone popping out like Oprah and pointing “YOU GET A HERSHEY! YOU GET A HERSHEY! EVERYONE GETS A HERSHEY!”)
Your pass to a free Hershey will look something like this:
Think you’re up to the task?
So here are a few more details on the mission that they specifically instructed me not to anyhowly tell people.
Here’s the super secret codes: 08057, 66359, 28301. Remember that.
What’s that? Jeez, do you really need me to spell everything out?
*Whispers* Those are bus stop codes:
- Dhoby Ghaut Station, Orchard Road (Bus Stop Code 08057)
- Serangoon Station Exit C / Block 201, Serangoon Central (Bus Stop Code 66359)
- Jurong Gateway Road Block 131, Jurong Gateway Road (Bus Stop Code 28301)
I’ll be waiting for you to report for chocolate duty.
