McDonald’s Scrambled Egg Burgers Are Back Again At $4.80 Each

As if Santa Claus decided to drop our presents early this year, we woke up to good news down our Chimney this morning. McDonald’s is back with the Scrambled Egg Burgers!

Coming in two flavours this time, the Scrambled Egg Burger with Chicken is a new addition, whereas the Scrambled Egg Burger with Sausage is a familiar favourite.

The announcement was made on their Facebook late Sept 2.

Available from 7am

These limited edition burgers were first introduced in 2018. They originally featured a version of the fluffy burgers with chicken bacon and cost S$4.60 back then.

Based on the picture, while the buns might be no McGriddles, it looks like the soft ones we’re used to on our Fillet O Fish burgers.

There’s a slight increment of S$0.20 this time around for the ala carte burger. Set meals with a choice of hashbrown or corn cup start from S$6.30, according to the official site.

The breakfast menu is available daily from 7am to 11am.

More new launches this month

The scrambled eggs came after the launch of new McDonald’s items including one which contains our favourite phrase: Cheese Pie

    • Yuzu Cream Cheese Pie
    • Melon Waffle Cone
    • Smoky Nacho Cheese Sauce
    • Minion Potatoes
    • Minion Happy Meal toys

The new yellow-themed items are sure to pull the heartstrings of minion fans in Singapore.

Continue to support the frontliners

Throughout the pandemic, McDonald’s has demonstrated their generosity to the frontline heroes, who continue to fight for our health and safety.

Earlier this year, they offered free beverages 24/7 to frontliners at all outlets. This kind gesture was extended to doctors, nurses, ambulance drivers, cleaning staffs and even frontline receptionists.

In August, they started the Big Thanks campaign to continue the efforts. For every Big Mac purchased, McDonald’s would donate a ‘Big Thanks Burger’ to a frontliner.

They also encouraged the spread of positivity. Customers were urged to attach messages of gratitude and post a picture of the complimentary burger on social media with the tags @mcdsg and #mcdbigthanks.

Throughout the month, they distributed 30,000 burgers to the heroes at 15 frontline organizations.

The donations were made in the form of vouchers that entitle recipient to either a Big Mac, a McSpicy or a Filet-O-Fish.

Worthy of our support

After learning about McDonald’s heartwarming contributions, I feel totally justified in my despair over their closure during Circuit Breaker.

On 19 April, in an attempt to contain the escalating COVID-19 situation, McDonald’s suspended their operation for close to a month.

Unsurprisingly, when the fast-food giant reopened, Singaporeans queued up to make it known that it had been missed.

Be careful when you go makan

With the new breakfast burgers, McDonald’s outlets will certainly be anticipating a surge of morning crowd.

Take care of yourself when you go makan. Wear your mask, sanitize your hands and keep your distance.

Or just order delivery lah.

Since we’re on the topic of food, did you know that a cheaper alternative to Din Tai Fung has just appeared in Sengkang?
