When the Marina Bay Sands was first built, it was declared as an iconic addition to the Singapore skyline with its three curved towers and the massive ship-like structure at the top.
And we got to agree, after all, where else can you get such a view at an infinity pool?
Unfortunately, it seems that MBS will not be a unique design structure in the world anymore.
An ocean away in the island of Bali, an MBS is currently being built, although it’s just a miniature version.

Here’s a look at what’s going on in a tourist attraction in Bali known as The Bloom Garden.

Well, you should.
According to reports, the replica is part of several new attractions that The Bloom Garden has been planning to add to the tourist attraction.
And from one of the construction pictures, it seems like the replica will only be a few storeys tall.
Here’s what the almost-completed version looks like from the side:
Ship-like structure at the top, check.
Cursive all-glass sides, check.
Now, if it becomes a hotel and house guests like the original, now that will be impressive.
By the way, this replica isn’t the first one to pop up outside of Singapore.
There’s one more (sort of) in China.
Other MBS-Like Buildings Around The World
Back in Jan 2019, news of a China megastructure that looks familiar made its way back into Singapore.
If you thought it looks like MBS, it really is. But is it a typical China copy where they make slight changes to not infringe on intellectual property?
Turns out, it’s not.
For one, Singapore is more than aware that China is building the mega-structure and says it shows strong ties between China and Singapore.
In fact, the megastructure will be hosting the Sino- Singapore Collaboration Centre.
Two, it’s built by CapitaLand, which is headquartered and listed in Singapore.
And three, it’s designed by Safdie Architects. Yes, the same guys behind the MBS building in Singapore.

It appears that this building isn’t the first ‘replication’ of MBS either.
For somewhere in Abu Dhabi, this grand marvel stands.
And over in Abu Dhabi, the Gate Towers look upon the thriving landscape.
