Once upon a time, a renowned influencer told me that she would never Instagram a fast-food: it doesn’t show the high life she’s created online, and she also claimed that she would be overwhelmed by the sheer number of fans in the fast-food restaurant should she step into one.

“Come on,” she told me sheepishly as she adjusted her eyelashes that dropped off from her eyes immediately, “people look at us as role models. You expect me to have a McSpicy and Instagram that? That’s, my little non-influencing lowly Goody Feed writer, is unbefitting for an Instragrammer like me. How many followers to you have?”

I thought I’d never have a chance to change her mind until I saw this.

Introducing…a burger that looks like a mountain.

Mount Fuji, lest you’re unaware.

Influencer: Tell me, tell me, where’s it located?

Me: MOS Burger

Influencer: Wow, even the name of the restaurant sounds atas! Is it at MBS or Paragon? I’m so going there right now for the Likes!

Me: Erm…

Mos Burger’s Latest Burgers That Look Too Instagram-worthy to be Eaten

Lest you’re unaware, MOS Burger is Japanese. And the MOS stands for “Mountain, Ocean, Sun”, which is why it’s apt that they’ve created a burger inspired by a Japanese mountain.

Mount Fuji is a popular mountain in Japan and is the highest one in the country. Often seen as a national symbol of Japan (just like, you know, how Bukit Timah Hill is the national symbol of Singapore HAHAHA), it is also the 7th-highest peak of an island in the world.

MOS Burger has also done my job of describing the burger in a metaphoric manner (you know, that Trashy Feed style), and here’s what they’re written:

Inspired by the highest and most iconic mountain in Japan, this burger ought to be on your bucket list as well!

We begin at the base with a fresh bed of greens. Next we navigate through the “rocky tarrain” of tamago tempura until we reach the slippery slopes of juicy sukiyaki beef.

“Scale” the slopes and be careful not to let them slip out of your grip!

Now, busk in the richness of cheesy cream sauce because you have reached the top! What a mouthful to behold! Enjoy the Fujiyama burger with rice or bread buns, or simply try them both!

Here’s where I got my info from:

So yes, it’s beef so whoever can’t eat beef can’t climb this mountain.

The bread version is at $4.40 a burger while the rice version is at $4.90.

Honestly speaking, if you’re buying for the gram, then the rice version does look more authentic.
