A 41-year-old Singaporean mother and her daughter reportedly died while holidaying in Hokkaido, Japan, on 10 January 2023.
They were survived by the other two family members, the father and another child.

41YO S’porean & Her 4-Month-Old Daughter Died in a Car Accident in Japan
According to Japanese news media, the family of four had collided with a large lorry in the ski town of Kamifurano at around 11.30am yesterday.
While the mother and daughter passed on, the father and the elder daughter, believed to be three, survived.
It’s also reported that they’re not in life-threatening condition and are currently receiving treatment.
NHK reported that the deceased mother is Chinese, while her husband, who was allegedly driving, is a 44-year-old Indian. The deceased daughter was four months old.
The Hokkaido police also said that due to the snowy roads, there had been a few accidents in the area.
The police have since contacted the Singapore embassy for assistance.
