But wait, there’s a new company in Singapore doing the sharing thingy, and this time, they’re sharing e-scooters?!

Telepod, Bring You Places on E-Scooters
If you’re working around Suntec City, we’ve got some great news to you.
Telepod, a Singapore startup which rents e-scooters to the public at very affordable rates (think $1 per 10 minutes), will be launching their first designated zone outside Suntec City’s main entrance.
A designated zone is where users can rent or drop off the rented e-scooters.
The aim of the company is to assist commuters in tackling the last mile part of their journey.
For example, if your workplace is 10 minutes away from the MRT station, the e-scooters are available for you to ride and dock it at a designated zone within walking distance to your office.
Of course, given the fact that they only have one designated zone at the moment with 10 e-scooters available for rent, you can only use the service to go for a spin or two. At least for now.
Of course, the team behind the service promises to open up more spots within the CBD area soon.

How to Use
To use the service, you got to download the Telepod app from the Google Play Store. Unfortunately, the app is not available for iOS just yet.
Every ten minutes of rental cost $1, and a deposit of S$49 is required from the user.
The team is aware of the drama behind the bike-sharing eco-system in Singapore and are working on ways to deter such cases from happening to them.
The maximum amount of time for rental is 6 hours and all e-scooters are equipped with alarms and GPS tracking devices.
