Who remembers Mr Men and Little Miss?

You know those little books with the funny little round guys and girls?

Now, I don’t know what your favourite character was but mine was Mr Greedy.

And I loved his story of Mr Greedy Eats Clean to Get Lean. I mean come on. How funny is that? If the title doesn’t make you laugh, I promise the story will.

Anyway, why am I suddenly talking about this blast from the past?

Well…that’s because the Mr Men and Little Miss characters are coming to Singapore!

Waaaahoooooo!

Wanna know what makes this news even better? They’re gonna have a pop-up cafe where you can meet and take pictures with all these cute characters.

Ohhhh man, I can’t wait…

The pop-up cafe will be at Kumoya Singapore, and will be open to the public from 5 July onwards at 12:00 pm. They will only be around until September, in case you’re wondering..

Mark those dates down on your calendar, guys.

Oh yes, things get even more exciting.

Cuz the Mr Men and Little Miss characters that are coming to our sunny shores are gonna be here with a little twist.

They are gonna be Singaporean-fied.

You’ll see them go on some cute Singaporean adventures, and you will even enjoy custom illustrations of the beloved characters taking in some of Singapore’s most iconic sights and eating our yummy, multi-racial cuisine.

It’s bound to be hilarious.

Miss Princess will also be donning the Sarong Kabaya and sashaying around, so be sure to get in a photo-op with her pretty character.

If you’re wondering what the food will be like, well, they are all going to be Singaporean-inspired fanfare. The Mr Men and Little Miss themed mains, beverages and desserts will all be customised for the Singaporean palette.

Our very own Little Miss Bento has collaborated on the menu and I must say, it looks phenomenal.

You can expect things like Mr Strong Chilli Crab Pasta, Mr Bump Knockout Nasi Lemak, Little Miss Princess Bandung Strawberry Parfait, and Chendol Gula Melaka Frappe.

How yummy does that sound?

Not just yummy, but the food’s gonna be looking pretty darn good too.

Hot dang, am I right?!

Also, get it? Cuz food is usually served hot? Right…I’ll stop now.

Don’t miss this opportunity to get up close and personal with the beloved Mr Men and Little Miss characters…especially with their unique Singaporean twist!

Try to teach the characters some Singaporean slang to give them the full Singaporean experience, if you want a bit of a chuckle.

It’s gonna be a cute little family-friendly cafe experience, so bring your friends and family along for some entertaining fun!

You can even enjoy reminiscing with them on your favourite characters and stories as you dig into some yummy localised grub.

For those concerned, the food is not Halal-certified, but it is prepared with no pork, no lard and no alcohol.

The cafe and food are going to be super insta-worthy, so make sure you come with your phones and cameras charged. Don’t wanna forget this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, after all.

And hey, after this experience you can always point to those books and say awww yeah, I’ve met these guys and it was awesome! (And pull out the pictures to prove it.)
