MrBeast Could’ve Been on the Titan Submersible That Imploded

By now, everyone must have heard of the Titan’s doomed voyage to explore the wreckage of the famed Titanic

The OceanGate submersible first went missing on 18 June 2023, losing contact with its mothership and failing to surface according to the designated time.

Upon a few days of searching, all five members, including OceanGate’s CEO Stockton Rush, were declared dead from a disastrous implosion on 22 June 2023.

In a dramatic turn of events that could rival James Cameron’s Titanic, YouTube celebrity and philanthropist MrBeast reveals that he could have become a passenger on the expedition that claimed the lives of five people.

MrBeast Posts a Tweet Revealing His Invitation to Board the Doomed Submarine

Only three days after the tragic news, MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, posted a tweet on the 25 June, stating, “I was invited earlier this month to ride the titanic submarine, I said no. Kind of scary that I could have been on it”.

Attached to the tweet was a screenshot of a text message inviting Mr Beast to join the sender on the expedition, telling him that the “team would be stoked” to have him along on the trip.

Multiple warnings and Bad Weather May Have Influenced MrBeast’s Decision to Decline

While MrBeast has yet to state why he declined the invite, some massive red flags may have left him hesitant to commit to the expedition.

Experts voiced their concerns regarding the safety and structural integrity of Titan’s experimental design in 2018, years before the voyage even took place.

The weather around the Titanic wreckage is also known to be particularly dangerous, hence, only certain days are declared safe enough for submarine voyages to take place.

Or MrBeast may have also taken a leaf from fellow Youtuber DALLYMDS’s book.

In a recent vlog, the YouTuber accepted an invitation to board a different OceanGate expedition a few weeks before the disaster.

Fortunately, the trip was ultimately cancelled.

The reason? Bad weather conditions and faulty submarine controls.

Netizens Question The Trustworthiness of MrBeast’s Post

However, some netizens wonder if MrBeast is ultimately posting for internet clout.

A Twitter user questioned why the text receipt was blue, implying that the text was typed by M Beast himself.

While MrBeast responded that it was a screenshot sent by his “friend” when he invited the YouTuber, other netizens called for him to post his own version to clear up any doubts.
