One would not expect a celebrity coming to Singapore to face something so horrifying. By horrifying, that means being subjected to a random attack by a stranger.

The attack on Malaysian actor Kamal Adli at a Singapore Expo fan meet was a shocker to many of us.

Bu it was even more shocking and traumatising to those who witnessed it.

Mr Adli’s wife, actress Uqasha Senrose, took to TikTok late on Tuesday to express her anxiety over the situation.

“I Don’t Have the Appetite to Eat”

In the live TikTok at 1 am on Tuesday, Ms Uqasha conveyed her feelings about the Sunday night incident at the Hari Raya Mega Sale 2023.

She mentioned that her anxiety was so bad that she didn’t “have the appetite to eat.”

“I feel so nervous and frightened to go to bed,” she said before claiming she had visions of the attacker while trying to sleep.

“We would normally act out physical fights on set. I never expected for someone to attack my husband in real life,” after expressing that no words could describe the feeling she had seeing a loved one being attacked firsthand.

“Only God knows the trauma I’m going through right now.”

The Attack, in Detail

According to Ms Uqasha, 31, the attacker had approached Mr Kamal, 36, during a photo-taking session. He called out his name before taking out a baton from his pocket.

Berita Harian Malaysia reports that the couple were meeting a fan in a wheelchair when the attack occurred.

Striking Mr Kamal twice in the head first, the man did not back down after Mr Kamal asked him, “why did you hit me? What did I do?” and continued assaulting him.

Mr Kamal experienced heavy bleeding and sustained several bruise marks on his body, causing him to receive four stitches.

Ms Uqasha mentioned to The Straits Times that had the attacker beat him lower on his body, he would be “in grave danger.”
