Yuki Koh’s Shocking Murder: Deceitful Admirer Who Faked Wealth
Regrettably, it is not uncommon to hear about women being extra cautious around men, whether it involves going on a blind date, walking home alone at night or even by the way we dress – a point that should not determine how we are treated.
Unfortunately, the recent murder of a Malaysian singer serves as a chilling reminder for this harsh reality.
On 18 December, Yuki Koh, a 26-year-old woman, was brutally murdered by a 44-year-old admirer. They allegedly had lunch together before the man stabbed her to death.

The Singer Took Wedding Photos the Day Before the Tragedy
According to China Press, on 17 December, just a day before this heinous act, Koh took wedding photos with her boyfriend, Liu Yuyang.
Her admirer had allegedly been trying to woo her for two years. Initially, he requested a dinner date on 18 December.
However, Koh felt that it was inappropriate. Since she had eyelash extensions appointment at 2pm, she changed their plans to a lunch date at 1pm, hoping to keep their interaction brief.
Koh’s boyfriend claimed that the last message he received from her was a funny video at 1.30pm.
China Press also revealed that the purpose of their lunch date was allegedly linked to the man’s intention to hire her as a singer at his newly opened bar.
He claimed to be a rich man. However, this elaborate lie was debunked by a police officer, who informed the family that the man was a fruit seller.
Her Corpse was Found in the Murderer’s Car
According to police reports shared with China Press, Koh met the accused at 1:20pm for lunch. Tragically, after leaving the restaurant, the man allegedly took out a knife and stabbed her.
An autopsy later revealed that Koh had been stabbed multiple times in her chest and back, with the fatal blow believed to have struck her heart. The man allegedly attempted to stab himself with the same knife after realising that Koh had passed.

What’s even more chilling is the fact that he placed Koh’s lifeless body in the passenger seat of his car, drove to his house and parked his car in front of his home near Jalan Sungai Nibong 5.
The police arrived at the scene at 4:30pm. Koh was pronounced dead by a paramedic, and the man was subsequently arrested.
These Tragedies are Not Limited to Strangers
Unfortunately, heart-wrenching incidents like this cannot always be foreseen or prevented. Disturbingly, these tragedies are not limited to encounters with strangers, as they can be perpetrated by individuals, we believe we can trust implicitly.
Just a few months earlier, on 9 September this year, a 32-year-old woman met the horrifying fate at the hands of her own husband.
The murder took place at Holiday Inn Express Katong. The 30-year-old man allegedly took his wife’s life in their hotel room.

Following the gruesome act, he headed to the Marine Parade Neighbourhood Police Centre at approximately 5:05pm and confessed to the crime.
The officers promptly arrested him. Subsequent investigations revealed the lifeless body of his wife with a slash wound. Her death was confirmed by paramedics who arrived at the scene later.
