According to World Of Buzzthe escalator that malfunctioned was allegedly the one servicing the platform for passengers heading to the Putra Heights. And while it’s not certain, it has been speculated that the woman was swallowed up by the escalator.

A photo of the alleged incident, in which a woman could be seen getting pulled up from a caved-in escalator, has since surfaced. Authorities, however, have yet to confirm whether the picture’s a real account of what happened.

On an ending note, please pay attention to your surroundings. Sure, Singapore might be safe, but in the end…

It doesn’t even matter You really have no idea what’s gonna happen.

So do yourself, and everyone else a favour…

And be alert, especially on creaky-sounding, suspicious escalators.

Better to be safe than sorry, right?
