We all have something that we treasure very much and it may not be something that costs a lot, but it definitely has a very high value to us.
It could be something that your late loved one gave to you, or maybe something that you first got with your very first paycheck, or something that you really like. No matter what it is, things have value because we give them value based on what we feel about them.
I still treasure the necklace and the Hello Kitty cup my uncle gave me before he passed, and I’ll keep it all with me until the day I die.
But what happens when you accidentally lose it?
Followed by a lot of despair and hatred for yourself because how could you lose that one thing you were supposed to guard?
And even if you did lose it somewhere, and someone picked it up, they probably wouldn’t even know the value of it to you. Would they even return it?
A Heartbreaking Message
But this Malaysian lady by the name of Hyza Ezany came across a peculiar RM10 (~S$3.27) note with a message on it.
The message read:
“The last cash given by dad on 21/5/2010 Friday, 7.10am. I (heart) you, dad.”
We are not sure if the owner of this note accidentally spent the money or had no choice but to spend it.
The Journey To Find The Original Owner
But seeing the words on the dollar note made Ms Ezany want to look for the owner so that she could return the note as she knew how much it means to the owner. She also hopes that she can perhaps help the owner with their situation.
In order to do so, she decided to upload the photos and post it on her Facebook, urging her friends and family to share this post in hopes that the owner can be found.
As of now, the owner hasn’t been found and we hope the owner will show up soon to claim this. We all know what it feels like to lose something, especially when it’s something of such high importance and value to us.
When our loved ones pass, we will hold onto anything that reminds us of them or anything that they’ve given us, because that’s all that we have left.
So treasure your loved ones and don’t take them for granted.
Because remember: to you, it’s just RM10. To her, it’s everything.
