It appears that there has been another stabbing incident here in Singapore, though this time it’s not at Orchard Towers.
Instead, it reportedly occurred along Bedok Reservoir Road, in an evident altercation between two 49-year-old men.
49YO Murdered by Acquaintance at a Residential Unit along Bedok Reservoir Road
According to various news reports, a 49-year-old man has been taken into custody for his suspected involvement in the death of another 49-year-old man.
Preliminary investigations have since surmised that both men knew each other.
According to a news report, officers arrived to see a man lying motionless at a residential unit along Bedok Reservoir Road.
“The 49-year-old man was pronounced dead at scene,” the police added.
They were first alerted to the case at around 10:15 a.m. on Saturday (3 April 2021).
Police investigations are still ongoing.
Sentence
The suspect will reportedly be charged on Monday (5 April 2021).
His offence is that of murder. If found guilty, he will be sentenced to the gallows.
Previous Occurrences
Over the years, a spate of fatal stabbing incidents has occurred here in Singapore.
On 6 July 2020, a 34-year-old foreign worker from Myanmar was apprehended on suspicions of stabbing a 95-year-old woman.
The latter was later pronounced dead at the scene.
And on 10 May 2020, a 38-year-old jogger was stabbed by a 20-year-old.
The victim eventually succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
And on 2 July 2019, a 31-year-old man had his throat slit by an assailant at Orchard Towers.

He later succumbed to his injuries at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Several of the group members involved have also since been punished.
