“Tak Halal, sis. I’ll pass on this one. Let’s get brunch instead,” said my best friend for the millionth time over the course of our stupidly long eight-year clown stunt.

Today, I am a bearer of good news. There is a Muslim-owned rooftop bar hidden in the enclaves of Tanjong Pagar! What’s even greater is that they serve cocktails inspired by your favourite flicks and books!

Dinner and Drinks Overlooking the Streets of Tanjong Pagar

The Wanderlost Lounge opened its doors to the public in December 2018. According to Mothership, the lounge was conceptualised and is run by the creators of Atap Bar, another Muslim-owned bar which offers a similar concept.

Has your Instagram feed lost its spark? Wanderlost Lounge is a definite place to go. Not only do you get to bask in the lounge’s comfort, but the whole place is basically an Instagram feed waiting to happen.

They’ve got The Little Prince Mocktail, The Alchemist, a mocktail inspired by Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and Where The Wild Things Are.

These aren’t just any regular concoctions. The Little Prince Mocktail presents a delectable combination of rose, pineapple, and royal lavender.

Spicing things up is the Where The Wild Things Are mocktail. The drink is an unconventional mix of soursop and orange juice topped with whole chilis.

The Hidden Gem of Tanjong Pagar

Magical places are often far from the public’s eyes. The lounge is located at a hidden spot in Tanjong Pagar. But fret not! They’ve given us the instructions on how to go about the search.

On its official website it said:

“Once you arrive at Realty Centre, go to the back of this building by crossing the grass patch to find the back entrance via Bernam Street. You’ll spot a car park entrance. Now, make your way up the slope (don’t forget to say hello to the friendly uncle who’s on bouncer duty) and you’ll find an elevator. Take the elevator up to 11th floor and then take one floor up the stairs to reach Wanderlost Lounge.”

Address: Realty Centre, 15 Enggor Street #12-01 Singapore 079716

Opening hours:

  • Monday to Thursday, 5:30pm to 11:30pm
  • Friday and Saturday, 5pm to 1am
  • Closed on Sundays.

So what are you waiting for? Come on down for a magical time!
