A dash of jealousy may be a sign of love but a whole lot of it just turns someone into a possessive “green monster” as he/she gets utterly consumed by the emotion.
After all, in a book published in 1993, Maya Angelou stated that “Jealousy in romance is like salt in food. A little can enhance the savor, but too much can spoil the pleasure and, under certain circumstances, can be life-threatening.”
This is a lesson that the girlfriend of a poor Indonesian man had to learn the hard – or should I say, sharp *winks* – way.
Oh, the (crazy) things you do to appease your GF…
After being repeatedly and falsely accused of fetching other ladies on his scooter by his girlfriend, a very fed-up boyfriend in Indonesia had to come up with a creative way to placate his girlfriend’s jealousy.
And boy, did he go above and beyond with his efforts.
To appease his girlfriend and to prove how loyal he is to her, Khoirul Aman decided to hammer a ton of sharp nails through the pillion seat on his scooter.
The end result resembles a sadhu board… though due to the uneven protruding nail sizes, it’s probably a lot more dangerous to sit on, especially if the scooter went through any potholes on the road.
He shared the picture on Facebook, writing that “if I hadn’t modified my motor(bike) like this, you would accuse me (of fetching other ladies) again.”
At the time of writing, the picture had gone viral with over 28 thousand shares and almost three thousand comments, with most of them filled with the tearfully-laughing face emojis.
A Lesson Against Jealousy
It seems like his efforts paid off and his girlfriend is pacified… that is until their next date.
Since the pillion seat is now a death trap for the butt, his girlfriend has nowhere to sit on the scooter.
As a result, she had to resort to squatting on the footboard in front of her boyfriend instead.
The resulting look is beyond hilarious and we get to enjoy a glimpse of it thanks to Khoirul once again as he shared the photos of his recent date with his girlfriend on Facebook.
In the caption, he wrote, “That’s why you shouldn’t be possessive.” while tagging his girlfriend.
From the annoyed look and deadly glare that she shot his way in one of the photos, I guess his girlfriend definitely learned her lesson… or did she?
