Is ONE minute of your time too much to ask, readers?
I mean, this is after all TGIF and we have time to spare right?
Here’s one such video:
Well, that was five minutes, but hey, it’s about Singapore, and you have time for your own country right?
If you aren’t aware, one-minute videos were the thing that launched popular travel vlogger Nuseir Yassin, or better known as Nas Daily, into the viral stratosphere.
If you are a keen fan of his, or basically anyone who reads Goody Feed the news, you would have read that Nas will be moving to Singapore to live and to build up the Nas Daily Media Company.
And this is what today’s article is about.
The Nas Daily Media Company.
The Nas Daily Media Company
Let’s all forget for a moment that there has been a petition started to bar Nas from entering Singapore.
Let’s all for a moment too, assume that Singapore is indeed the near-Utopia that Nas perceives it to be.
And in that breath, let’s all imagine that Singapore is accepting him with wide-open arms on 20 April 2019, which is the day he has announced that he would be setting foot on our lovely shores (again).
The Nas Daily Media Company, which will be owned by Nas and based in Singapore, is looking for “five more people to join the Nas Daily Media Company” in the “next few months,” according to TODAYonline.
In a phone interview from Israel with TODAYonline, Nas said: “The goal is to get a whole big office right next to the Facebook office in the big Marina (One) Tower…so it’s just a matter of time until we get there”.
Wow, that’s ambition for you.
Because the rental is going to be crazy. Unless he doesn’t know much about rental costs in Singapore lah.
JD or Job Description…Somewhat..
So what does working for the Nas Daily Media Company entail?
For a start, between preparing for visas and packing up his gears and clothes, there hasn’t been a JD provided for the said five roles that he is recruiting for.
That said, TODAYonline shared that the company will be a production house which “will focus more on creating Facebook videos for clients while continuing to publish weekly videos on social issues once he is here to ‘keep the channel alive'”.
Nas even went so far as to say that it will be “one of the best, if not the best” at creating such videos.
Hence three things that are a shoo-in for the role(s) are:
- It should ultimately be housed in the Marine (One) Tower
- The role entails creating videos
- You will be able to take a selfie with Nas…daily. HAHA.
The People’s Summit
On top of that, Nas has the intention of planning to host an annual “Nas” summit or conference.
While he is still mulling the name, Nas has stated that this “conference will be all about the people of Singapore, by the people of Singapore.”
His intention is to “bring the average Singaporean, the rich Singaporean, the poor Singaporean together for one day and just talk about the story of Singapore” and for everyone to share “(the) good, the bad, anything” with everyone.
Now, what that quite entails specifically… isn’t something that I’m privy to.
But hey, if it comes with the “Nas” branding, I’m sure it will draw a crowd, for better or for worse, ain’t it?
That said…
Me: Boss ar, if Nas comes in and do videos, how can our videos fight with his?
Boss: Get BuffLord95 to start doing one-minute video daily from now on.
Me: But –
Boss: Shit, one-minute video cannot put advertisement in Facebook video. Change it to at least three minutes weekly instead
Me: Why so familiar ah…
