Classic S’pore Movies & Dramas Like Army Daze, Incredible Tales & Triple Nine Coming to Netflix
According to 8Days, Netflix will be bringing 18 more Singapore movies and TV series to the video-streaming platform.
The new shows will be released progressively from 1 Nov 2020 in three separate batches.
Titles include Masters of the Sea (Singapore’s first English TV drama)
By the way, this is Asia’s first English drama, an accomplishment that was only made possible because Singapore managed to get well-known people in to jumpstart the entire process:
Army Daze
Millennials had Ah Boys to Men, us 90’s kids have Army Daze, a comedy about serving the army in Singapore.
We Not Naughty
Here’s an interesting fact: it’s also the movie that a young Amos Yee starred in. And yes, since he was young, he already has that distinctive accent down pat.

And even an SG50 tribute film: 7 Letters
Which is really worth checking out especially once you’ve read what Singapore viewers commented on the movie trailer on YouTube.
Some Existing Shows Will Be Updated
New seasons of already existing shows on Netflix will also be added, including hot favourites Growing Up, Phua Chu Kang and Under One Roof.
For those who are hoping for Singapore’s shows and movies to expand beyond our country, you’ve got your wish. Somehow.
The movies will be available to viewers across Southeast Asia.
