I love eating onions, but I hate cutting them as it makes my eyes sting and I’d end up tearing. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one facing this problem.

Why Do Onions Make You Tear?
According to the Library of Congress, onion produces a chemical irritant called syn-propanethial-S-oxide which triggers your eye tear glands.
This is why you tear whenever you chop onions.
And apparently, it does the same for cats, not just humans.
Cat Cried While Owner Was Chopping Onions
On 7 September 2019, a Twitter user by the name Deana Adziz shared photos of her cat tearing on twitter.
We hope the poor kitty isn’t in pain, but this picture just screams cuteness!
