Build-to-order (BTO) flats are always the talk of the town – every other couple within an appropriate age range will bring it up at some point.
Well, get ready for more conversations about it because the Housing Development Board (HDB) will be releasing about 6,800 BTO flats in six towns for the June 2024 sales launch – and you might only need to wait three years to get them.
BTO Projects on Offer
For the June 2024 sales launch, about 6,800 BTO flats will be offered in six towns – Yishun, Woodlands, Jurong East, Tampines, Queenstown and Kallang/Whampoa.
These flats range from 2-room to 3Gen flats to ensure a flat for every need and budget.

The flats in the June 2024 sales exercise will all have waiting times of around three years.
The Marsiling Peak I BTO project in Woodlands is considered a Shorter Waiting Time (SWT) flat, with a wait time of two years and eleven months.
Any flats with a waiting time of less than three years will be classified as SWT flats.

A Breakdown of Each Area
- Yishun
The first project in Chencharu, which is a new housing area in Yishun, will be launched.
This project will comprise 1,270 units including 2-room Flexi to 5-room flats.
The nearest transport link will be Khatib MRT Station which will be next to Khatib Central neighbourhood centre and Wisteria Mall.
Multiple schools like Naval Base Primary and Secondary School as Yishun Innova Junior College are also in the vicinity.
Notable landmarks around the area include Lower Seletar Reservoir Park, Yishun Sports Hall, Yishun Stadium and HomeTeamNS Khatib.
- Woodlands
1,590 flats will be offered in this area bounded by Marsiling Lane and Admiralty Road.
It will be located near the Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub, Woodlands and Marsiling MRT Stations.
The new units will be near Causeway Point and Civic Centre and for those looking out for nearby schools, Woodlands Secondary School, Marsiling Primary School and Republic Polytechnic are all close by.
Notably, the Marsiling Park Connector, Woodlands Waterfront Park and Woodlands Sports Centre are also nearby.
- Jurong East
In the areas of Teban Gardens Road and Jurong Town Hall Road, there will be 1,070 flats offered in the Jurong East project.
People who opt for these units will be close to Jurong East MRT station and upcoming stations on the Jurong Region Line and the Cross Island Line.
Aside from being close to malls like JEM, Westgate and IMM, there are also notable landmarks like the West Coast Park Connector, Pandan Reservoir and Ayer Rajah Community Club close by.
Schools like Commonwealth Secondary School, Fuhua and Yuhua Primary Schools are also within the area.
- Tampines
Tampines offers 550 flats, with 2-room Flexi, 4-room and 5-room flats available.
With Tampines West MRT Station in the vicinity, people opting for these flats can enjoy many malls like Tampines One, Century Square and Tampines Mall.
Those with families can also send their kids to St Hilda’s Primary and Secondary School or maybe even Temasek Polytechnic.
On the weekends, they can enjoy facilities like Safra Clubhouse (Tampines), Our Tampines Hub, Bedok Reservoir Park and Tampines Park Connector.
- Queenstown
The Queenstown area, which is known for being a prime area, will only be offering 330 flats, with 2-room Flexi and 4-room flats up for grabs.
Located along Holland Drive, it is near Holland Village and Buona Vista MRT Station.
Schools like Fairfield Methodist School, Anglo-Chinese Junior College and Singapore Polytechnic are close by while great food and mall areas like Holland Village and Holland Drive Market and Food Centre are also accessible.
To unwind, one can enjoy easy access to the Rail Corridor, Ulu Pandan Park Connector and Buona Vista Community Club.
- Kallang/Whampoa
Last but not least, a personal favourite, there will be flats upcoming at Kallang/Whampoa.
There will be a total of 2,020 flats offered near the upcoming Tanjong Rhu and Katong Park MRT Stations.
Aside from being close to Kallang Wave Mall and Leisure Park Kallang, these units are also close to Dunman High School and Bendemeer Primary and Secondary School.
People purchasing these units can also enjoy proximity to the Singapore Sports Hub, Singapore Indoor Stadium and Kallang Football Hub.
Useful Tips for Buyers
Recently, it was announced that HDB will be giving $300 rental vouchers per month to eligible couples and families waiting for BTO flats to be completed.
Aside from that, if you are applying for a flat as a first-timer, you may be eligible for the Enhanced CPF Housing Grant (EHG) of up to S$80,000.
If you are a single looking to purchase can also receive a housing grant of up to $40,000.
Young married couples and parents with young children will enjoy priority under the First-Timer (Parents & Married Couples) category and can secure a flat more quickly.
