A few months back, many Huawei users woke up to terrifying news: an Executive Order has been signed to add Huawei into the U.S Department of Commerce’s Entity List.

In simpler words, the U.S has decided to ban Huawei.

Following the ban, Google had restricted the use of the Android system by Huawei, and companies such as Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp are said to be bidding goodbye too.

It’s an exact representation whereby you broke up with your boyfriends, and all of sudden, his friends are not your friends anymore.

Except, this time it’s far more complicated.

New Phone By Huawei

If you haven’t heard of it, Huawei will be launching their new phone model, Mate 30, on 18 September.

Looks quite classy hor?

But, it wouldn’t be sold with Google service.

Which means, no Playstore, no maps, no Youtube.

Despite the 90-days postponement of the ban, new devices from Huawei are still not able to use Google service, since this postponement only applies to existing devices.

At this time and age, Google is almost vital in our life, and to have no access to Google service, that’s pretty shitty.

After all, nowadays Google does know us better than we know ourselves.

Harmony OS, The Backup Girlfriend

The spokesperson of Huawei has said that if the ban is not lifted, and if Huawei is still unable to use Google service, they will be using Harmony OS in the future.

The brand had previously revealed its first-party operating system, which is said to be 60% faster than Android.

Can I assume that the “Future Challenges” stated actually meant the U.S ban that they are currently facing?

It is previously rumoured that Huawei has been working on their own OS system due to the increasing tension between them and the U.S.

Sounds quite promising, right?

But who knows, maybe Google decided that this relationship is worth the effort and will apply for Huawei products to be exempted from the ban?

All I can say is this breakup is super dramatic.
