Nineteen Men Including 13-Year-Old Arrested for Parang Attack at Johor Skudai Eatery

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has arrested 19 individuals following a violent attack at a restaurant in Skudai, Johor. The incident occurred on Saturday, 17 May 2025, at approximately 12:40am.

A local woman filed a police report after she and three male friends were attacked by a group of men wielding parangs and rotans at the eatery.

The suspects range in age from 13 to 46. All 19 arrested individuals are local men.

Police investigations revealed that six of the suspects have previous criminal records.

Urine tests conducted on all suspects returned negative for drugs.

According to police findings, the attack was motivated by a personal grudge.

Suspects Face Rioting and Weapons Charges

All 19 suspects will be remanded for seven days until Saturday, 24 May 2025. The remand period will allow authorities to conduct thorough investigations into the case.

Authorities are investigating the case under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting and Section 326 of the Penal Code for intentionally causing injury using a weapon.
