NOC Finally Responds to Dee Kosh Saga & Explains Why He Was Previously Listed as a ‘Partner’

There’s a deadly virus on the loose and Kim Jong-Un might be confiscating dogs to feed them to North Koreans, but the Dee Kosh scandal is the only thing people are talking about right now.

For those who have avoided their phones for the last week because they just had a break up, here’s what happened:

  • Several netizens on social media have claimed that Dee Kosh, whose real name is Darryl Ian Koshy, had asked them for nude pictures and sexual favours in the past
  • Dee Kosh initially denied the allegations, but later admitted that there was some “truth” to them
  • Since then, at least six police reports have been lodged against the popular YouTuber

Even influencers have taken a break from, uh… influencing, to weigh in on the saga. Women’s rights advocacy group AWARE has also spoken about the issue.

At least three companies – Lenovo, Huawei, and PVP Esports – have all distanced themselves from the YouTuber, saying they have no existing plans to work with him.

Now, another company has added its name to that list.

NOC Removes Dee Kosh’s Profile From Website

Netizens who must have done an internship with Sherlock Holmes found out on 18 Aug that local video production company Night Owl Cinematics (NOC) had discreetly removed Dee Kosh from their YouTube video credits and website about us page.

Dee Kosh was previously listed as a Partner / Actor / Host. But just like travel, his profile has now vanished.

Dee Kosh featured in myriad episodes on the Ryan Sylvia YouTube channel, including the popular Food King Singapore series.

Now, his name and Instagram handle are no longer in the YouTube video’s description.

NOC Responds to Dee Kosh Saga & Explains Why He Was Previously Listed as a ‘Partner’

It turns out the 32-year-old wasn’t actually a partner, per se – he had no formal business ties with NOC.

On Wednesday (19 Aug), NOC issued a statement on Facebook confirming it has cut ties with Dee Kosh and explained why he was previously listed as a partner.

According to NOC, Dee Kosh is neither a shareholder nor a business partner in NOC. NOC said he was listed as a partner to “highlight his contribution as a host on “Food King”, a show for which he was engaged on a freelance basis.

“NOC has received a request by Dee Kosh’s management for him to be released from any professional service engagement with us”, it said.

The company said they have no ongoing projects with the Power 98 DJ and that all other collaborations have been “put on hold indefinitely”.

It was added that Dee Kosh has not made any sexual advances on any of its employees.

“In the meantime, we urge everyone to give the parties involved some space and respect. Our thoughts and heart are with all who have been hurt by the incident”, they said.
