A full-time national serviceman (NSF) died in hospital on 8 October 2026 after he was discovered unconscious beside a building on Pulau Tekong.
The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) said he was found at around 1.22pm at the foot of a building at Basic Military Training School 3. He was not taking part in training at the time.
Taken to Hospital by Helicopter
He received emergency treatment at Pulau Tekong Medical Centre after being taken there immediately. A helicopter then transferred him to Singapore General Hospital.
He reached the hospital at 2.05pm and was pronounced dead at 2.27pm, according to MINDEF’s statement.
Investigations Underway
MINDEF said the incident was under investigation.
The ministry and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) expressed condolences to his family. The SAF is providing the family with assistance.
