Official Toei Animation Store Featuring One Piece, Dragon Ball & Digimon to Open at Jewel on 3 Oct

Anime fans will soon have another reason to make the trip to Jewel Changi Airport, even if they have absolutely no flight to catch.

An official Toei Animation Store will open there on 3 October 2026, featuring merchandise and experiences based on Dragon Ball, One Piece, Digimon Adventure and Girls Band Cry.

The store will take over the space previously occupied by the One Piece-themed Mugiwara Store, which closed on 31 August.

Merchandise, Photo Spots and Interactive Experiences

The new concept is being presented by Singapore-based Omnisekai, the team that was also behind the Jump Characters Store and Mugiwara Store in Singapore.

Besides merchandise from the four featured franchises, visitors can expect displays and photo opportunities inspired by their characters and worlds.

There will also be recreations and displays based on memorable scenes from selected titles.

According to the announcement, the store will host interactive experiences and seasonal activities as well.

These could include character celebrations, community events, fan challenges, mascot appearances and limited-edition merchandise releases, although the exact programme may change over time.

One activity that has already been confirmed is a gacha-style photo-strip machine.

For S$3.50 per pull, visitors will receive a randomly selected photo-strip design featuring different character frames. So yes, even your photo booth experience now comes with the excitement, or danger to your wallet, of gacha mechanics.

It Replaces the One Piece Mugiwara Store

The new shop arrives just over a month after the Mugiwara Store Singapore closes at Jewel.

That official One Piece store opened on 12 September 2025 and sold merchandise such as apparel, accessories, plush toys, stationery and collectible figures. Its interior was themed after the Egghead Arc of One Piece.

In July 2026, the Mugiwara Store announced that its Jewel outlet would close on 31 August, less than a year after opening. At the time, its social media announcement suggested that the One Piece retail concept could return elsewhere, although no new location was announced.

The Toei Animation Store is therefore a broader concept rather than another shop dedicated solely to Luffy and company.

Jewel Changi Airport CEO Lee Ching Wern said the new store would give visitors fresh reasons to return to Jewel and expressed hope that it would appeal to both anime fans and families.

Omnisekai CEO Ng Kuan Luen said the store continues the company’s work with Toei Animation and Jewel to introduce new concepts to Singapore and the wider Southeast Asian market.
