And you know what?

You’re wrong.

Tapioca pearls were found in this elderly man’s gall bladder but it has nothing to do with bubble tea.

Here’s what happened.

60YO Man Suffered From Intense Stomachache

On 10 Nov 2019, a Facebook user by the name of Arak Wongworachat took to Facebook to share a really disturbing story.

According to him, a 60-year-old man went to the hospital for a checkup after suffering from a fever and stomachache.

The man also said that he didn’t have much of an appetite for days.

Fearing something was wrong, he decided to go to the hospital.

So the doctors got to work and took an ultrasound, only to reveal a solid mass in his gall bladder.

Immediately Sent To Operating Theatre

Naturally, seeing something solid in a place where it’s not supposed to be was alarming and the man was sent to the operating theatre immediately.

The doctors cut him out and found over what looks like a thousand solid black pearls within his gall bladder.

Yes, take a look for yourself.

So I bet you’re thinking, after hearing about so many bubble tea mishapsexactly how many cups does he drink per day?

Apparently, None.

Because, according to his doctor, these aren’t pearls from bubble teas.

They’re caused by severe inflammation in the gall bladder, so bad that the gall bladder is completely filled up with pus.

Then it solidified into the black pearls that we are seeing today.

But that doesn’t mean the old man’s not at fault too.

It was revealed that the elderly man has been suffering from this medical condition for five whole years.

The likely reason why it was only discovered now? Because he’d never been to the hospital for a check.

And he isn’t the only one.

How many times have we felt something wrong with our bodies, but decide to leave it “until it gets worse”?

Most of us, I’d guess.

Either because we want to save that little bit of extra money, we do not have time or we don’t want the doctor to confirm that we’re suffering from something that cannot be cured.

But imagine if it was something that could be prevented or cured with early detection. You’d be regretting your actions up to your last day on earth.

So if you feel like something’s not right, it’s always good to just seek professional medical advice.

And, of course, remember to go for checkups often when you get to the big three.
