2018 has ended with a bang: and when I said bang, I’m referring to this bang:

Lest you’ve forgotten about this case because it happened last year (sorry, can’t resist that), here’s a short recap: cyclist blocked lorry, lorry tried to overtake, cyclist hit lorry, lorry shocked and so accidentally knocked down cyclist.

Just as we thought this would be the viral video of 2018, and we’ll need to wait for year for another viral video for us to discuss in the coffee shop, a new video surfaces.

This time, it involves a PHV driver and a motorcyclist, and as usual, it’s filled with emotions, a bang and finally, lots of views.

Except this time, it looks more like two insecure kids claiming a “No, Cher, he hit me first!”

Read on and you’ll get it.

ROADS.sg’s Next Viral Video

This morning (2 January 2018), ROADS.sg posted another video and within hours, it has garnered well over 1K Shares. While it hasn’t gone as viral as the cyclist vs lorry video, it still invited a respectable 211 comments, and the reactions have been mixed.

The nearly one minute video shows the motorcyclist beside the PHV driver, supposedly talking to the driver…

…and as the light turns green, the car went forward and swerved to the front of the motorcyclist.

And after a while, the car jam braked all of a sudden, causing the motorbike to rear-end it.

Now, before you worry about anyone getting injured, don’t worry: the motorcyclist stood up immediately, and even have the energy to point at the car behind, supposedly wanting to view the camera footage.

The PHV driver then stepped out, and because his pants are a little too big, he had to lift them up before taking a few more steps toward the motorcyclist (sorry, can’t resist including this).

The man in the car camera, who looks like Romeo Tan from Mediacorp, then coolly stepped out with his sunglasses and whatnot.

A rather heated argument then arose (seriously, no one’s checking if anyone’s injured?! No wonder faith in humanity is so low) and we see the motorcyclist doing a WWE close-up stare as Romeo Tan lookalike walks off because I allegedly heard that he has the Goody Feed app and there is a new Goody Feed article.

But The Whole Ordeal Could Just be Men Losing Their Temper Until You Read What The Motorcyclist Claims

The video that’s posted by ROADS.sg contains a caption by the motorcyclist, and honestly speaking, if not for the caption, no one would have given a damn about the video.

Here’s the video:

And here’s the caption:

“The driver of SJT7954C dressed in red was swerving left and right. He wasnt happy because I was slow. I asked him why need to horn when green light just change. When he drove beside me he was also using his phone.

Thats the reason why I asked him and shouted at him. He was not happy because he thought I was a delivery man. I told him I needed to send my brother’s bag to his house at Tampines. He told me riders got no money. Ok, Then u want me to do what? I have a spinal injury and neck injury as well as hip injury. You can see me walking and trying to pick up my bike. But it was too heavy. Maybe adrenaline rush, after he stopped.

He actually took photos and rushed off stating he wanted to report police. Go ahead, we shall see your video as well, see how many cars infront of you and you jam brake. Nonsense change lane. Change lane need to jam brake? Please help to share as i need to go to work. I was just helping my brother sending his grabfood bag cos he was also in an accident. Apparently this guy who jammed brake, he ran away after I called the police. I really cannot take it. My spine is really in pain, Help please.”

So, viral reason number 1: If what is mentioned is true, the PHV driver just made things worse by claiming that “riders got no money”. What has money got to do with this whole incident? Is he friend with the mother who once famously told her kid that Foodpanda riders are people who just came out from jail (told you to come to our app daily liao)?

Viral reason number 2: What’s with the additional irrelevant information provided by the rider about the Grabfood bag? What is he trying to do with his words? What’s with the “help to share as I need to go to work”? What’s his work got to do with the driver? How can we help him with his pain?

Viral reason number 3: Why it happened in the east again?

Now, the most important thing that we can conclude from here is that someone in Tampines is going to have his food delivered late, because it seems like a Foodpanda rider has come in to assist:

That’s one rider we respect.
