On Friday night (23 June), a car had tried to change lane to the left on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) heading towards Changi after the Upper Bukit Timah Road exit. But it lost control at the bend, hit another car, spun out of control and flipped multiple times, landing on the road shoulder.
The 33-year-old driver was flung out of the car and landed on the second lane of the expressway.
A footage of the incident has since been circulating online, and it’s been reported that the driver has succumbed to his injuries.

The accident happened at around 9pm. In the dashcam footage that has since gone viral, the black car was seen weaving in and out of traffic on the right-most lane of the PIE, overtaking vehicles on their left.
It eventually lost control at the bend, and hit a car before flipping a few times, with the driver being flung out.
The driver was pronounced dead by an SCDF paramedic.
The driver of the other car and his passenger were conscious, and were taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
According to Shin Min Daily News, the accident led to a three-hour jam on the expressway.
Police investigations are now ongoing.
