Tensions are high at the moment.

After an extended period indoors, your siblings who you used to love living with now have incredibly punchable faces.

Your room which you used to love coming back to now seems like a tiny prison in the bigger prison that is your house.

Every day that passes without a Chendol at the coffee shop only increases the rage coursing through your veins.

And the smallest thing can make you explode, even a glance from a food deliveryman.

Pizza Deliveryman Allegedly Got Punched By Someone Else in the Household for ‘Staring’

As you know, many taxi drivers have had started making food and grocery deliveries to earn some extra income during the Covid-19 outbreak.

50-year-old Mr Zhang is one such taxi driver who recently turned to food delivery.

On 30 April, Zhang had to deliver a pizza to a young man at 125 Ang Mo Kio Ave 6 at around 5:20pm, reported Lianhe Wanbao.

After delivering the pizza to the young person on the 11th floor, the customer handed him a $50 note.

As Zhang took out the change, a middle-aged man inside the house walked past.

Like any normal human being, Zhang glanced at him and their eyes met.

It could have become a love story that’s better than Twilight, but no.

See, unbeknownst to Zhang, the man inside was a sociopath.

After Zhang glanced at the middle-aged man, the man allegedly flared up and shouted, “What are you looking at! So what if you’re a food deliveryman!”

The middle-aged man then reportedly dashed towards Zhang and punched his right ear.

Now, you and I would probably run away when an angry sociopath runs towards you aggressively, but Zhang, being the dutiful deliveryman he was, stayed behind because he hadn’t given the young customer his change.

“I saw an expression of fear on the young person’s face and that made me feel uneasy. But because I hadn’t returned the change, I didn’t leave immediately.”

Professionalism at its best.

The young man tried to hold the middle-aged man back but he was helpless, said Zhang.

Zhang handed the young man his change and turned around to leave, and that should have been that.

But we’re forgetting about the trauma the middle-aged man had to endure: being stared at by a food deliveryman.

So, the man allegedly punched Zhang again, this time on his right cheek.

Zhang ran down to the 10th floor but the middle-aged man didn’t pursue him. Zhang then took the lift down to the first floor.

That was the end of it, right?

Right?

Chased Him With E-Scooter

When he reached the first floor, Zhang was about to call his company when the middle-aged man appeared on an e-scooter.

The man continued to be belligerent and threw two more punches at Zhang, who managed to duck this time.

The deliveryman then started running away from the lunatic, who proceeded to chase him on his e-scooter.

So in addition to assault, this man also probably broke PMD laws.

Zhang ran three blocks and hid at Block 128 and called the police.

The Police and SCDF arrived on the scene 10 minutes later, and a police report was lodged, reported Mothership.

This might be one of the most baffling cases of assault during the Covid-19 outbreak, or even in the history of the world.

Reader: People can surprise you, sometimes.

Indeed. But for the sake of peace and harmony in our country, please don’t go around punching everyone that happens to look in your direction.

Just forget about it and carry on with your day, especially if you’re about to eat pizza.

And if you’re wondering who the heck is the girl on every headline you see above, don’t worry, she’s not the violent figure in the article. It just happens that our website’s sidebar has our videos, which you can watch it here (and subscribe also lah):
