If you’ve been to Sembawang Shopping Centre, you’d know that people go to that mall primarily for a few purposes.
To have a meal in the basement, to buy groceries from the supermarket, to head to one of the enrichment centres on the top level or to buy things like snacks or rice cooker from the POPULAR Bookstore.
In fact, if you know that Sembawang Shopping Centre isn’t next to Sembawang MRT Station, then you’d have probably done one of the above.
But soon, you can’t do the last thingy anymore.
Up to 70% Off in Closing Down Sale in Sembawang Shopping Mall POPULAR Bookstore
Kids who have tuition on the top level would now need to ensure that they’ve everything in their pencil case because the store that sells everything but called itself a bookstore is closing down.
POPULAR posted a Facebook post about its impending closure, and it’s going to go off with a big sale:
Lest you can’t read:
*EVERYTHING MUST GO!*
POPULAR Sembawang Shopping Centre is having a closing sale from now till 24 July! Grab Books from $3 onwards, a huge range of Assessment Books, Stationery, Gadgets & IT, and Food!
While stocks last. Hurry, tag a friend to go over to Sembawang Shopping Centre to shop away!
Items will be going for up to 70%.
And according to the images, you’d get a $10 discount voucher with a minimum spend of $30 as well, and an additional 5% off with a minimum spend of $60.
Add them all together and the whole store might just be free.
According to images from Facebook Page Singapore Atrium Sale, it seems like a sale is more important than COVID-19 because there appears to be a queue:
And anyone who’s been to the mall would know that other than Astons and Saizeriya at the basement, retailers in the mall don’t usually attract any queue, especially so when POPULAR Bookstore is tucked in a corner on the second level.
In case you’re a Jurong Kia and intend to head over for that sweet 70% deal, do note that the mall beside Sembawang MRT Station is Sun Plaza and not Sembawang Shopping Centre.
To get to Sembawang Shopping Centre, you’d have to take a free shuttle bus from Sembawang MRT Station:
Or if you live in Yishun…
…or Woodlands:
And if you’re there and couldn’t find any affordable stuff from POPULAR, fret not because there’s a Daiso on the first level. That’d make the trip worthwhile.
