On 18 Sep 2020, PlayStation fans in Singapore can place pre-orders for Sony’s latest system at almost 40 shops.
The PS5 comes in two different editions: one Digital Edition ($599) and one with the Ultra HD Blu-ray™ disc drive ($729).

It’s only been two days but scalpers, recognising the opportunity, have already placed their orders and started reselling them on Carousell.

The most reasonable offer among the resellers is a markup of $100
However, there are those who believed that the product is worth a higher price.

A seller was spotted selling the PS5 with the disc drive edition for $1,499 (original price: $729).

Granted, it comes together with the equally-highly-anticipated Spider-Man Miles Morales game bundle.
Most of the resellers appear to be targeting a price point between $950 to $1,200, which means you’re likely to be paying an additional $250 to $450, depending on the edition of the PS5.
A money-making opportunity, indeed.
Official Launch Date
The official launch for the PS5 in Singapore will be on 19 November 2020, one week after the console is launched in the United States (U.S.).
Consumers can look forward to an enticing line-up of games after the launch, with exclusive titles such as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Demon’s Souls.
