If you’ve read an online horror story describing how a groom had died during a ‘routine’ wedding game, spoiler alert.
It’s fake.
But if you’re wondering what I’m rambling about, let me just fill you in.
A video from China had been gaining traction on the Internet, because it apparently showed a groom being dropped on his head during a wedding game, and subsequently dying.
The incident had apparently happened on 8 Oct in the province of Shandong.
Wedding turns into funeral after groom died during wedding game with groomsmen.Read: http://bit.ly/2zbda3U

Had I not been informed otherwise prior to watching it, I would have thought the same thing. The knock on the head made me cringe, and you can see how the poor dude looked totally out of it after that.
Screenshots of what seems to be a messaging platform accompanied the video, and there were claims that the “groom” had passed away because of the drop.
The first line can be translated to “The groom’s confirmed to be dead, because he fell on his head.”
The rest expressed their condolences.
Direct translation:
A: “The groomsman died.”
B: “Did you film it?”
A: “It happened in the morning today.”
A: “My friend attended the wedding.”
Myth debunked
And the truth is that…
The victim in the video was actually one of the groomsmen, who had been playing the game on the groom’s behalf.
Now, we don’t know why the groom wasn’t playing, but all we can say is that the groomsman is a real bro to have voluntarily taken all that shit (Or maybe he just lost a bet and had to do it).
Contrary to beliefs, he didn’t die either.
After losing consciousness, he was sent to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with a concussion.
He’s currently recovering in the hospital, and is not in any immediate danger.
Thank goodness for that, or the world would have lost a real bro.
Nevertheless, there are two things I’ve learnt from this one.
Firstly, not everything you read on the net is true.
That’s for me to know, and for you to find out. 😉
Secondly, never play a wedding game on behalf of your friend.
It could just get you killed.
