Man Kicks & Punches Audi in Alleged Road Rage at Serangoon North

Road rage isn’t uncommon in Singapore, but one motorist was captured on video putting more…passion into it than usual.

Allegedly on 15 August at 5 pm, motorists on Serangoon North Avenue 6 were treated to the sight of a street MMA fight between a driver and a car.

Man Kicks & Punches Car in Alleged Road Rage Incident

A dashcam video on the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page showed a white Volkswagen having blocked the path of a pink Audi.

A man in black, supposedly the driver of the white car, confronted the driver of the pink car.

After some gesturing and looking at his phone, the man was suddenly spurred into action. He began throwing hard front kicks at the opposing car, escalating the road rage.

The car did not throw kicks back at the man, making for a rather one-sided fight.

For a few moments, the literal vehicular assaulter stopped and peered into the windows of the Audi.

Then, he resumed his onslaught, this time throwing punches like the car was his punching bag.

Not exactly the best alternative, since punching bags usually don’t explode into hundreds of sharp fragments.

Strangely enough, the man was boxing the rear window of the Audi, instead of the driver’s window like you’d expect from road rage.

Netizens Call Driver’s Actions “Stupid”

It remains unclear what exactly happened to ignite the fight, with the OP suggesting that maybe the Audi driver had not given way.

Regardless of who was at fault to begin with, it would be hard to argue that throwing kicks and punches with such intensity was a reasonable reaction in most road rage situations.

One commenter called the incident the stupidest thing the attacking driver could do and that he would be kicking himself once the police came after him.

A netizen even joked that he would get to punch the walls of his prison cell soon.

Another netizen called the driver crazy as the only thing he would accomplish was hurting his own hand.

Maybe if he hit the car harder he could have made it bleed. He should try for round 2.

Others also continued speculating about what could have caused the driver to start angrily attacking the rear window of the car.

Perhaps he was doing his best Street Fighter impression.

Another intense road rage in Joo Chiat led to a full-on family fight in the streets. Maybe it’s just our kiasu nature.
