JJ Lin’s agency told the paparazzo to stop wasting public resources and disrupting the internet. Oof.
Here’s what went down.
Hinted that JJ Lin Involved in Scandal
Taiwanese paparazzo Ryan Ko made news recently after he alleged that the ex-husband of actress Barbie Hsu, Wang Xiaofei, had an affair before their divorce.
After that, Ko held a livestream on 31 May to show photos of Wang’s supposed cheating.
He then started referencing other celebrities like businessman Mike Hsu and Singaporean singer JJ Lin, but he didn’t provide any evidence.
After saying a bunch of other baseless claims like catching Chinese singer Lu Han and actress Dilraba Dilmurat dating in Japan, he then posted a screenshot on his social media.
The screenshot was of the top ten trending Weibo searches, with “JJ Lin suite” and “Wang Xiaofei photos” in the top two.
Lin’s Agency Responded
Lin’s agency, JFJ Productions, immediately responded to Ko’s claims.
They stated that anyone who claims to have evidence of Lin’s wrongdoings should submit them to the authorities. Lin and the agency are willing to cooperate fully with any investigations.
If they do not actually have evidence, please stop wasting public resources and disrupting the internet. JFJ added that people should stop illegal activities like creating and spreading rumours, and that we should maintain a “civilised online environment”.
Well, this response certainly annihilated all of Ko’s claims.

Ko Apologised for Bothering Lin
On 1 June, Ko posted an apology on Facebook, saying that he had only mention Lin after netizens brought up his name.
He then stated that he will not be fooled by netizens “who want to see a fight between the paparazzi and the top singer”.
Ko also apologised to Lin, saying that he is sorry for bothering the singer.
Additionally, Ko clarified that Lu and Dilraba are only good friends, and that the two were in Japan on different days. However, he didn’t make any clarifications regarding Wang’s alleged infidelity when with Hsu.
But if you’re nosy and want to know the answer: in a Weibo post on 30 May, Wang denied cheating on Hsu.
