Singaporeans are truly an amorous bunch, more often than not willing to sample different versions of beautiful salted egg to find the right one.

But…salted egg bubble tea?
Now, I know that some people believed that things like bubble tea and salted egg should never, ever be mixed together.
But before you murder me for blatantly trying to lie, this product exists.
And it’s from LiHo.
Liho Releases Salted Egg Lava Brown Sugar Pearl Fresh Milk
LiHo’s latest creation will bring a smile to all salted egg lovers’ faces in Singapore.
The Salted Egg Lava Brown Sugar Pearl Fresh Milk is made with real salted eggs mashed with Okinawa-style brown sugar pearls.
Originally, it was supposed to be launched exclusively at the CMYK at Bayfront Event Space last week (i.e. pop-up style).
But I have some good news for you!
Even if you’ve missed the carnival, don’t worry.
Because 3 LiHo outlets will be selling this iconic dream drink exclusively from 25 Sep onwards.
So, how does it taste like?
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get our hands on this drink because our stingy boss refused to let us go out and get one for ourselves. We’ve stolen his card but it got declined because he’s poor like that.
So we’ll depend on this instead.
According to LiHo themselves, it’ll taste like “sweet salted egg lava with creamy fresh milk and a tinge of warm brown sugar pearls”.
In other words, “like a custard bun”.
The LiHo outlets selling the drinks exclusively are the ones at VivoCity, Bugis+ and Suntec City.

It wasn’t known if this is a time-limited menu or not. But judging by how Singaporeans are willing to chiong for everything salted egg, it might be a good idea to fast-hand-fast-leg a bit to get your own cup of the drink.
I mean, just look at the McGriddles and Hot Chocolate Pie.
The hot chocolate pie was sold out days after it became available in Singapore.
Where:
- Bugis+: 201 Victoria Street, #03-29/30, Singapore 188067
- Suntec City: 3 Temasek Boulevard, #03-379, Singapore 038983
- Vivo City: 1 Harbourfront Walk, #01-111, 098585
Well, I don’t know about you but now I wish that McDonald’s will come out with a salted egg pie.
It’s probably going to be awesome.
