A long, long time ago, there once existed an extramarital affair so big that the entire country of Hong Kong was ‘shooked’;
TVB actress Jacqueline Wong had cheated on her boyfriend Kenneth Ma with singer Andy Hui, whose wife was none other than Sammi Cheng.
Sounds like a mouthful to take in? I’m sure it was.
While Wong and Ma have since parted ways, Hui and Cheng are still, for some inexplicable reason according to Cheng supporters, together.
And though Hui, Wong and Ma have all talked about the scandal in front of the media, Cheng has not touched on the sensitive issue as far as the public’s concerned.
Her only ‘public’ course of action came in the form of an Instagram post ten months ago, when she published an image of a quote from the Bible that reads: “Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.”
Simply put, it was an announcement of her decision to forgive her straying husband.
“Marriage isn’t just about mutual happiness and joy, but also about forgiving each other’s mistakes,” she wrote in the post.
And yet, there was no real speech in front of the camera. No real clarification to the media. Cheng has simply kept quiet for 14 months as the world slowly moved on from the case…
Until now.
Sammi Cheng Finally Spoke About Andy Hui Scandal Publicly & Suggested There Hasn’t Been Any Improvement
The Cantopop queen has finally revealed her side of things, 14 months after the now-infamous love scandal between Jacqueline Wong and Andy Hui first broke out.
Appearing in a Hong Kong variety show recently, Cheng was asked whether her relationship with Hui has improved after the scandal.
Her reply, however, was vague.
“I can’t say if it has improved. But the bottom line is that both of us have to face it together.”
Well, if anything, it sounds like they intend to see things through to the end.
She has also expressed support for her husband’s return to the showbiz industry, and conceded that people “change”.

According to her, Hui has become more grounded, and has realised what the most important things in life entail.
Well, it seems that their relationship is certainly a lot stronger than what people give credit for.
Or at least, Cheng’s devotion is a lot stronger than one would have perceived at the start.
Moved On
Meanwhile, Kenneth Ma has moved on from his relationship heartbreak, and is now dating fellow TVB actress Roxanne Tong.
The couple publicly announced their relationship on Instagram eight days ago (13 June).
Wong, on the other hand, is back in Hong Kong after a brief getaway to Canada, and was rumoured to have been working as a property agent at one point in time.
In February, she was spotted with Lai Man Wang, a drummer from Cantopop group RubberBand, at a pet shop. This led to speculation about whether Wong was having yet another affair, as Lai had allegedly proposed to his girlfriend.
The musician, however, clarified that he was single as his engagement failed to work out. He also claimed that Jacqueline is just a friend who’s good with dogs.
On 15 June, Wong was spotted heading towards a vet clinic with a man, as well as a dog. While unconfirmed, her companion was rumoured to be Lai.
According to the media, the duo reportedly took a ride back to Jacqueline’s apartment after their visit to the vet.
Well, it looks like they have all moved on in their own rights. And though one pair has split up, the other has remained resolute in their unity.
Guess only time will tell whether these decisions were correct.
Though if there’s one thing for sure;
It’s that love works in mysterious ways.
Over in TikTok, there’s a drama involving property agents that’s caused by us. Here’s what happened:
