Samsung ‘Accidentally’ Leaked Note 9, Revealed To Have 512GB Storage Space & A Massive Battery

When it comes to smartphones, Samsung is one giant that cannot be underestimated.

After all, the terms iOS vs Android can be interchanged with Samsung vs Apple.

And Samsung is famous for a couple of things: their premium design, incredibly powerful phones and information leaks.

This time, Samsung has accidentally leaked information about their upcoming phone model, the Note 9.

And the things that’re leaked is enough to drive anybody crazy. Including you.

What Happened?

Samsung’s official release of the Note 9 is supposed to take place today (8 Aug 2018).

However, on 2 Aug 2018, Samsung accidentally published the full preorder announcement for the Galaxy Note 9 on its website.

And not only that, it was left on the website for a few hours before being taken down, ensuring that people have time to read and screenshot the “classified information”.

From the teaser, fans can see that the Samsung Note 9 will retain the headphone jack and a bright yellow S-Pen, hinting that the pen will be getting a huge upgrade.

Then, Samsung New Zealand made an “epic mistake” too

On 5 Aug, Samsung New Zealand “accidentally” uploaded a 30-second promotional video for the Samsung Note 9 onto their YouTube channel.

Samsung New Zealand pulled the video out but not before Youtube channel AndroidAre made a copy of it.

And the video confirmed a few exciting rumours.

The video hinted at a massive memory, a slightly larger display, a better RAM and an amazing battery that’ll last the entire day.

Here, you can take a look at the video yourself:

And now, we get to the meaty details. Here’s how the Samsung Note 9 might look like? We’ve done our best to consolidate all the rumours and put them all into one place just for you.

  • 6.4-inch QHD + Super AMOLED Display
  • Variable aperture 12-megapixel (f/1.5-f/2.4) + 12 megapixel(f/2.4) rear dual camera
  • 8-megapixel front camera
  • 4000 mAH Battery
  • AKG-Tuned Speakers
  • Iris Scanners
  • IP68 Waterproofing
  • Wireless Charging
  • Samsung Pay
  • 512GB Internal Storage

The Samsung Note 9 S Pen will double up as a remote control with a Bluetooth chip embedded in the device.

This will allow you to take pictures from a distance, change powerpoint slides, etc.

And finally, the most important question of the day: how much will it cost?

According to Forbes, it was leaked that the Samsung Note 9 will be selling at the 128GB version of the Note 9 at US$1,000, and the 512GB at US$1,200.

And with our awesome predictive (read: guessing) skills, the launch price of Note 8 in the US was US$950.

In Singapore, the Note 8 sells at S$1,398.

If you based the prices on that pattern, the selling price of Note 9 will be at around $1,400 for the 128GB version, and almost S$1,800.

But, of course, it’s highly likely that the prices won’t be that high (Singaporeans wouldn’t spend almost $2,000 on a phone, right?).

But be prepared for it to be pricier than iPhone X, that’s for sure.

And with that, we’re just going to ask: are you ready for the launch of Galaxy Note 9?
