You know the feeling when you order something online and then immediately cannot wait for its arrival?
As a highly impatient man myself, I can relate all too well.
It can be true even for food deliveries, which are the norm these days now that we’re all stuck at home with no alternative to satisfy our cravings.
And that’s not coming to an end soon. If you’re too lazy to read up on the long-awaited end of the circuit breaker on all the news and government sites, we have 11 confirmed facts simplified for you here.
With the growing trend on Instagram of “Support Small Business”, many are turning to purchase self-started homemade snacks online.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t go well for everyone.
Basic Courtesy?
You know that feeling when you message your friend and all you get in return are blue ticks?
And then you’re left feeling like you’re talking to a wall?
No? Am I the only one whose friends don’t like me? *sobs*
Well, that’s what Facebook user Hardy Hzn felt like when he ordered custard puffs from local singer Sarah Aqilah (who now doubles as an Instagram seller) on his mother’s behest.
After giving her next available delivery slot, she proceeded to go MIA for days after Hardy placed his order.
While she did mention her high enquiry volume in her first message, Hardy was less than pleased and said that a reply would be a basic courtesy, especially if she does not plan on taking his order.
Well, that finally got her to reply.
Failing To Deliver
After finally confirming the order and making payment, the delivery was set to be on last Sunday (17 May) between 12-8pm.
Apparently, certain issues and difficulties came up with the delivery driver (but she didn’t update the customer on it).
However, Hardy remained very understanding and polite on the matter and accepted the reschedule to Tuesday (19 May).
But on Tuesday, the incident repeated itself and there were no puffs at his doorstep nor were there updates from the seller by 8pm.

When no reply came in close to 10pm, Hardy decided enough was enough – he threatened to take her to social media if she continued her blue ticking.
Well, that definitely got her talking.
Cue The Sarcasm
The seller started replying, but it was obvious she was less than pleased.
After giving a brief excuse of “missing his order”, she sarcastically thanked him for being patient and claimed that “it works both ways”.
Not only that, but she also proceeded to top up $1 on the refund and said to “treat yourself an ice cream”, claiming that it was “complimentary” for missing out on his order.
After a short reprimand, Hardy decided to take his experience to Facebook in a grand exposé.

Also as pointed in the comments of his post, this isn’t the first time Sarah Aqilah has hit the news in a less than desired way – she was previously fined $30,000 in 2019 for evading GST on branded bags she purchased overseas.
Looks like she needs to work on getting herself out of trouble.
Backlash
After his Facebook post started gaining attention and shares (1.9k as of writing), things haven’t been going well for her Instagram account.
Comments started pouring in on her posts, reprimanding or mocking her on her actions.
But in these troubling times, it’s obvious that everyone’s mental and emotional might not be coping too well.
It might be worthwhile to forgive and forget and show kindness instead to help each other cope and push through.
And by the way, you can’t buy any ice-cream for $1.
