It’s no secret that some of us buy too many things for ourselves.
With e-commerce allowing us to purchase all sorts of items while we poop in our bathrooms, some of us have perhaps accumulated more possessions than we need.
This is why storage spaces have grown in popularity in recent years.
However, you have to pay for these storage spaces, and no one wants to do that. So, you have three options:
- Sell all the possessions you don’t need
- Give away the possessions you don’t to friends and family
This resident, however, went for secret option number 3: use a common corridor lor.
Someone in Sengkang Filled the Corridor With Bulky Items Like It’s Her Storeroom
A resident in Sengkang has reportedly been treating a common corridor at an HDB block as her own personal storeroom for the last three years.
One neighbour has reportedly moved out due to the inconvenience caused by the resident’s inconsiderateness.
According to Shin Min Daily News, the residents lives at Block 228B Compassvale Walk in Sengkang.
She lives next to the lift landing and has been using the shared corridor as her own storage space, keeping everything from cabinets and refrigerators to luggage bags and furniture there.
Could you live in a place like this?
As you can see, huge piles of various items have been placed all around the corridor, obstructing the way for other residents of the block as they make their way to the lift. Not to mention that it’s also a fire safety hazard.
As if this weren’t bad enough, the woman also stored some of her possessions at the freaking stairwell.
We’re not sure exactly where this woman plans to travel to, but the 1,200 luggage bags that she has purchased seems a little excessive.
Resident Sells Secondhand Goods
It was therefore unsurprising when Shin Min Daily News revealed that the woman is a secondhand goods dealer.
Her unit is also filled with similar items, and customers sometimes come down to make purchases.
But she’ll soon have to find another storage space for her business.
Ordered to Cleared Goods
The woman’s neighbours have reportedly been lodging complaints for the past three years, and recently alerted Shin Min to the nuisance.
When warned by the authorities, the woman would clear her items at first, but then resume storing items in the corridor soon after.
This time, however, the Sengkang Town Council was notified, and the woman was informed earlier to clear her items from the space by 10 Dec.
It’s unclear if she abided by this order.
