For the past 15 years, locals and tourists alike have sat in the rotating cabin as it brings you up to a majestic view of Sentosa and the enchanting Singapore skyline in the distance.

If you haven’t tried it yet, this will be your last chance to do so now before it closes down for good.

And if being a Singaporean and not having tried your own country’s attraction once isn’t a good enough reason to go for it…

You can now get admission for cheap.

FromĀ 1 Nov until 28 Dec 2018, you can buy admission passes to the attraction at discounted prices.

For adults, instead of the usual $18 admission passes, you can now get them at $8.80. For kids, it’ll be $4.80.

This gesture, the operator of the Sky Tower said, is to show appreciation for its many partners.

When asked by the media, the operator of the tower said that the discontinuation isn’t due to the incident that happened last year.

The Sky Tower had to be closed for three months due to an overheated component which resulted in 39 guests stuck 25 metres in the air for four hours.

They assured that the discussions with Sentosa Development Corporation were “sincere and detailed”. Both party simply couldn’t reach an agreement on commercial terms.

The Rotating Tiger Sky Tower of Singapore Will Stop Operations on 28 Dec 2018

The last day of operations for the Tiger Sky Tower is confirmed to be at midnight on 28 Dec 2018, a few months ahead of its lease expiry on Mar 2019.

The operator added that Sky Towers are essential for every successful theme park in the world.

People want a birds’ eye view of the place they’re at.

And they believed that they could’ve continued operating at Sentosa for many, many years to come.

Now that they’re not able to keep the sky tower in Singapore, the operator will move and rebuild the tower in another country.
