It’s one thing to have your home broken into, but what if you were there when it happened?
A scary thought, right?
Yet that was exactly what happened to singer Shawn Mendes.
Shawn Mendes Was Home When His House Was Broken Into & Car Was Stolen; Camila Cabello Was in the House as Well
According to 8Days, Shawn Mendes was home with his girlfriend, fellow singer Camila Cabello, in their Los Angeles home when thieves broke into their property.
Thankfully, nothing happened and the thieves made a quick escape.
Except, during their escape, they took the keys to his car and made their getaway with it.
According to sources familiar with the situation, police reports were made.
However, no arrests have been made so far.
Shawmila
For anyone interested in pop culture, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello are likely to be familiar names. Both have seen immense success with their music.
If you’re into celebrity gossip as well, you’d know that Mendes and Cabello have been dating for two years. Their ship name, FYI, is Shawmila.
Long-time friends, they’ve collaborated on music together, releasing two songs: “I Know What You Did Last Summer” in 2015 and the smash hit “Señorita” in 2019. The steamy music video for “Señorita” was what created rumours of a possible Shawmila relationship.
And true enough, the couple surprised (not really) fans when they announced their relationship in the summer of 2019.
For those who accused the couple of starting a “fake romance” for publicity and wondering if they’re still together after they went quiet on social media earlier this year, you have your answer now.
Mendes had previously said that it took five years for him to realise he was in love with Cabello.
In the beginning, he couldn’t accept it.
It took three years to admit it, and another two to decide to do something about it.
Recently, Mendes revealed that his relationship with Cabello has taught him to be “vulnerable” and speak more from his heart.
And if that’s not enough to prove his love for Cabello, Mendes also revealed in his new Netflix documentary, In Wonder, that all the songs he’s ever written are about Cabello.
The documentary features the “behind-the-scene” life of Shawn Mendes and shows the intimate lives of the two musicians.
Instead of a “story about a famous musician”, Mendes describe the documentary as a “story of a guy growing up”.
