We’re halfway through the Circuit Breaker (CB) and some people are showing signs of breaking.
Either that or they believe themselves to be a sovereign.
Well, previously, we’ve seen two queens, one at Sun Plaza and one at Shunfu Market (the OG sovereign).
Now, a king has appeared, this time at Novena.
Man Allegedly Challenged Mall Staff When He Was Stopped For Not Wearing a Mask Properly
According to Lianhe Zaobao, this incident happened at Square 2 on 11 May 2020 at around 6pm.
He was apparently denied entry into the mall because he wasn’t wearing a mask properly.
In the video uploaded online, he could be heard aggressively asking the mall staff with his mask down:
What are you going to do to me?
I don’t put what, what are you going to do to me?
At the end of the video, he seemingly backed away and beckon for the staff to go with him to a quiet corner, presumedly to fight it out “like men”.

Man Calms Down After Police Arrives
According to reports, the mall staff wasn’t “friendly” when he asked the man to put his face mask on properly.
That was supposedly the factor that started the incident.
When police officers arrived 10 minutes later, the man quickly calmed down and cooperated with the police.
Hopefully, nothing happened and the mall staff is not traumatised by the many specks of saliva flying into his eyes.
Treat Our Essential Workers Well
Standing at the entrance watching so many Singaporeans not following CB rules can be quite aggravating.
I mean, think about it: on one hand, you have Singaporeans going Ohh, I wish CB is over soon.

And on the other hand, the things they do seems like they want CB to be around longer.
Yes, you can argue that the shopping mall dude should’ve been nicer about it but hey, you’re breaking a law.
Have you seen police officers nicely chase down a criminal and ask them politely to put on the handcuffs themselves, please?
Let’s all be nicer to each other, please? Because like it or not, we’re all stuck in the same boat for the foreseeable future.
